Stick was tested negative in all the genetic diseases that Embark DNA-test screens for (163 genetic diseases) including Alaskan Husky Encephalopathy, Subacute Necrotizing Encephalomyelopathy (SLC19A3) and Malignant Hyperthermia (RYR1) that are common in this breed. His hips, elbows and spine are x-rayed and clean.

Cook line Alaskanhuskies

Cook line Alaskanhuskies are quite rare in Europe. These dogs are competitive option to increase genetic variation in our sled dog population.

Kevin Cook won the Pas 12 times (last time 2015) and Raymond Cook 6 times. The Pas is 3 X 56 km race. Fur Rondy is about 3 x 40 km race. Stick is one of the few living sons of Gyro, that was Cook’s long-term leader dog and top breeding male. Stick’s dam DeeDee was also ”Rondy-dog” and second in Rondy 2014. DeeDee’s breeders are Anny Malo and Marco Rivest, who are Canadian champions in sled dog sports (Wyoming Stage Stop Race 2019 & 2020 Champion).
